Oh my goodness! That is all I could think of as we watched Avengers: Infinity War this past weekend. I mean, I had heard that is was a going to blow your mind and they were not kidding. We had missed the screener so I had to wait and see it in the theater like everyone else, hence the post going up after the movie was released. But I’m glad we made time to see it this weekend!
It’s been a few days since we saw Infinity War and my head is still trying to wrap itself around everything that happened. First off, this movie moves fast! Be sure you do not need to take a potty break during this movie. You will miss out on some key information if you leave, no matter what time you leave. Second, be ready for a fast moving movie! Because there are so many of the Marvel characters involved in the movie it feels like you are jumping from character to character to find out what each one is doing now. It’s not bad, just means the movie is moving fast because it has to tell it from several characters involvement.
DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS
Ant Man is missing from this movie. I’m sure we’ll find out later and I’ll come back and update it. Update – Ant Man was missing because he was under house arrest. You will learn all about it when you see Ant Man and the Wasp.
Thor gets his eye back. It’s actually humorous how he gets a new eye. Rocket was kind enough to bestow an eye that he had retrieved on another mission.
Many of the characters appear to die in Infinity War. But I am 99% positive they will be returning. Well, at least most of them will be returning, I think. I’m going to suggest you go back and watch Doctor Strange before you see Infinity War. You’ll learn a lot about the infinity stone that Doctor Strange controls in that movie. Then pay close attention to how Doctor Strange uses the stone in Infinity War. Also, watch how Thanos uses the infinity stone throughout the whole movie to manipulate time, space and everything around him. And pay close attention to how Thanos uses one of the infinity stones to rewind time in an isolated area to get his way. I strongly feel that the infinity stone Doctor Strange possessed before Thanos took possession of it, is the key to all the characters coming back. I think, the remaining characters are somehow going to get the stone or glove off of Thanos’s hand and rewind time erasing all the damage that Thanos has done. But this is just my theory. We’ll have to wait until next spring to see if I’m right or what actually happens.
Is Avengers: Infinity War kid friendly? Yes and No. To be honest, I think there is a lot of things worse on prime time television than in Infinity War. And if your child has already seen the Marvel movies then you’re probably going to be ok with them seeing this one. Yes, there is some language, some potty humor but for the most part, it’s an action packed fast moving film with humor mixed in.
