Shopkins Season 5 is Here!

If you are a Shopkins fanatic I am sure you know Sunday May 1st was the release of Season 5. We were up bright and early heading out the door to try and score a Shopkins Season 5 set at Target. We arrived right at opening and guess what? The shelves were bare! Not one Shopkin in the whole 4 foot section. My first thought was they just had not had time to set the section so I went the the little red phone and pressed 1 for assistance. Within seconds a team member was there to assist. We headed over to where the Shopkins were supposed to be and he worked his magic with the scanner. Unfortunately nothing came up. Not a single Shopkin was to be found in the store. And certainly no season 5. Peyton was crushed. I was frustrated that we had woken up early on a Sunday and headed out to a store for an item that was not even on hand. So we headed home and Momma started searching the internet. Toys R Us had a few Shopkin season 5 kits so I bought 2 but now we have to wait for them to arrive.

Peyton is turning the big 6 this month so I was hoping to order a few sets for her birthday. I am also on the hunt for birthday Shopkin party supplies and more for our family birthday party. I have the cake ordered and to my surprise there is not a Shopkin cake! At least not at the 5 bakeries I called. So I am having a round cake made with lots of bright colors and sprinkles. I’ll be adding a few Shopkins to the cake to turn it into a Shopkin cake!

Well, it’s been 3 days since my hunt for Shopkins Season 5 started. My persistence and determination paid off. I found them! Target on the other side of town got them in this morning! I headed right over and the shelves were almost cleared out. Target had only been open for 2 hours by the time arrived. But when you are a Shopkin fanatic news travel fasts. So I snatched up 3 Mega Packs (2 for Peyton’s birthday and 1 for her BFF) and a few more packs for her birthday and to use as cake toppers.

Mind you Amazon also carries Shopkins but I find them to the most expensive there. Target and Walmart are comparable on price as well as Toys R Us.
