I make Peyton’s school lunch every single day. Most of the time she wants a sandwich. Since that is an easy lunch request to fill I obliged. But I think it would be boring eating a plain old sandwich day in and day out. Last summer I started using cookie cutters to make her sandwiches fun. Cookies cutter are fine but there’s a lot of wasted sandwich. Then I found sandwich cutters, they are specifically made to cut your sandwich into fun shapes without all the waste!
I’ve used the dinosaur a few times. Peyton loves eating sandwiches shaped like Little Foot from The Land Before Time, it’s one of her favorite movies.
Since I’ve had these for a while, I’ve also made a lunch with a dolphin theme!
In this sandwich cutter kit you get several choices – you can make a sandwich with the cut out of a dog, star, butterfly and more! There are nine different sandwich cutters in the kit which means you won’t have to repeat a sandwich for nearly two weeks! That will make for some fun and interesting school lunches.
Peyton loves it when I make her sandwiches using the cutters. It makes her sandwiches special. And she’s the only kid with them! All her friends like to see what I’ve done with her sandwiches each day. It makes lunch time fun.
If you have a toddler or elementary child at home think about turning those boring PBJ sandwiches into something unique and fun. Think of the fun you can have! If you are heading to the zoo, pack a lunch with sandwiches that look like butterflies.
Currently, Peyton is on a PBJ kick but I have also made several turkey and cheese sandwiches too. I’ve used the sandwich cutters on those as well. And it works! Just be sure to have a flat, firm surface when pressing the sandwich cutter into the bread. And fresh bread works best. It’s easier to cut.
I hope I’ve helped make lunchtime a little more interesting for your little one. Enjoy!

They have such cute cutters now. I had a scalloped circle that I used on my daughter’s sandwiches when she still didn’t like the crust.

They do now. I even have smaller cutters to use on fruits, veggies and cheese. Peyton love it! I also think it’s fun to make her lunches when I get to create little works of art for her to enjoy! 🙂
