Wait for the Rain

We are huge readers at our house so when I was offered the chance to read Wait for the Rain by Maria Murnane in exchange for my honest and unbiased review I immediately said yes. So what is Wait for the Rain? My take is it is about a woman finding herself. The main character, Daphne, had goals and aspirations when she was in college. It's 20 years later ...Daphne is married and has raised a daughter and now doesn't really know who she is without all that. Her life has been her family. So her ...

Best Goggles for Kids..Hands Down Frogglez!

My daughter has been in swim lessons for a while now. She's doing pretty good but it never fails that her goggles are falling off during class. Some lessons I feel the instructor deals with the goggles more than the lesson. And that's frustrating. I want my daughter to have time to learn a stroke with her goggles in place, not pulling on her hair and fitting comfortably. I have tried numerous sizes and different brands of goggles trying to find the perfect fit. But nothing has worked. Then I ...

Transitioning from Crib to Toddler Bed

My daughter had to be placed in a toddler bed around 18 months. Far earlier than I was ready for. But she was insistent on climbing out of her crib nearly every night and wondering around the house. So for her safety I bought a toddler bed. But now my dilemma was what type of bedding do I use? After I stopped and thought about it for a few moments I realized I could use her crib bedding. Just because it said crib did not mean I couldn't use it on a toddler bed.  Infact I realized I went ...

But when they arrive Abigail finds out they have brought the magical bike and  book with them! She can barely contain herself while she waits for the adults to get focused on something else so ...

Guy Erma and the Son of Empire Review

Guy Erma and the Son of Empire by Sally Ann Melia is a fast paced young adult sci fi book. The story line is intriguing with twist and turns. Guy Erma and the Son of Empire is a fairly easy read. By the time I was done reading the prologue I was hooked I couldn't wait to read more. Taking place in a fictional world, still being discovered, there are fighting factions and primal tribes all fighting for one thing or another. Everyone wants control. The secrets and deceptions of factions make this ...
