Bento Box

Turkey and Cheese Bento Box

Turkey and Cheese Rectangles

I've been doing shapes in Peyton lunches for a while now. And I have been a little bad about keeping up with the dishes. So today I just sliced her sandwich into quarters and stacked them in her bento box. It was a tight fit, but I didn't want to waste any of the sandwich so I squished it in. I used thinly sliced turkey breast and Colby Jack cheese thinly sliced to make this meal.I had some blackberries and blueberries I needed to use up before they spoiled so I washed them off and filled up the ...

Pizza Bites Bento Box

Butterfly Pizza Bites Bento Box

Being that it's just Peyton and I we end up tossing out a lot of leftovers. I simply cannot eat everything by myself and Peyton only eats one meal a day at home. But today when I opened the fridge I saw leftover pizza! I immediately thought about tossing it in Peyton's lunch but I wanted to make it fun so I took out these little pie crust cutters and cut a large pizza slice into little butterflies! It was a win win. Peyton is going to have a fun pizza lunch box and I am getting to use up our ...

Butterfly Peanut Butter and Jelly Bento Box

Butterfly Peanut Butter and Jelly Bento Box

Today is a big day for Peyton at camp so I'm packing a little larger lunch than normal. Peyton is also on a peanut butter and jelly kick so I packed her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich cut into the shape of a butterfly.Peyton also has an obsession with pretzel sticks so I decided to send those along with her too today. Normally I would put fruit in the larger well but I figured they had a field trip and she was going to be doing a lot of walking so the extra calories was not going to be a big ...

Turkey and Cheese Sushi Bento Box

Turkey and Cheese Sushi

We still have that smashed loaf of bread so as I'm still making "sushi" sandwiches for Peyton. Today I decided to use some thinly sliced turkey breast and thinly sliced Colby Jack cheese for the filling. Because you are rolling the bread you only need one or two slices of turkey and a slice of cheese. If you put too much in, you won't be able to roll it and it'll fall apart. Once you have the bread rolled take a sharp knife and slice the roll into 3-5 pieces depending on size of bento box and ...

Dinosaur Turkey and Cheese Bento Box

Dinosaur Turkey and Cheese Bento Box

According to Peyton this is one of her favorite Bento Boxes because of Little Foot Sandwiches. Peyton is obsessed with The Land Before Time and Little Foot, the long neck dinosaur.  Making a dinosaur sandwich is pretty simple. I used thinly sliced turkey breast, thin sliced Colby Jack cheese and whole wheat bread. But you can use any type of meat, cheese or even peanut butter and jelly. Then I used the dinosaur cutter to cut the sandwich into 2 dinosaur shapes. We had some fresh strawberries ...

Dolphin Peanut Butter and Jelly Bento Box

Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches are a staple in many households. But how do you make them fun? By getting a cookie or sandwich cutter and turning them into a unique shape! Today I made Peyton Dolphin shaped Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. It's really easy. Just make the sandwich like you normally would and then take the cookie/sandwich cutter and turn it into a shape. Go light on the jelly because it will spill out if there's too much. Next up, I had to choose a fruit and since we had ...
