Inspire Young Readers with National Geographic Kids

National Geographic Kids Readers

Peyton is at the age where I really want to encourage her to read. I want her to find her passion in reading. Experience how a book can take you to far off exotic places without leaving your home. National Geographic Kids has a line of chapter books geared towards encouraging children to embrace their curiosity and learn about different topics. We were sent a variety of National Geographic Kids books for Peyton to try out. First thing I noticed was that there are different levels to these ...

Thank You, God, for Grandma

Thank you God for Grandma

With Easter just around the corner, now is the perfect time to start looking for items to stick inside those Easter baskets. I like to mix in non-candy items in our Easter baskets. Books are a great Easter basket item. Thank you, God, for Grandma would be a perfect addition to an Easter basket for little ones. Thank you, God, for Grandma was written by Amy Parker and will be released March 21st. Easter falls on April 16th so it'll arrive in plenty of time for Easter if you decide to pre-order ...

Teacher’s Survival Kit

Reidea Light Choices

As many of you know, Peyton's in 1st grade. We've dealt with a lot of illnesses this year. We've had 2 rounds of strep throat, several colds, a stomach virus and the school had a head lice outbreak! Thankfully we were spared the head lice. But with all those illnesses it made me think of things her teacher could do to help promote a healthy environment. Immediately, I thought of essential oils. I use them all the time, at home, at work, in the car, away on vacation. I am a firm believer that ...

I was lucky enough to try out the Shake shoe. I was looking for a comfortable, classic shoe that would go with my dress pants as well as jeans. I found that in the black Shake by Hotter Originals. There are several different colors and prints to choose from. I really did love the floral prints but I wanted a comfy shoe that I could ...

Weeknight Dinner Dilemma Solved with Green Chef

Green Chef Organic Foods

I don't know about you, but my weeknights are crazy busy. When I get done at 5 pm with my job, I rush straight to Peyton's school and pick her up. I have to be there by 6 pm or there's extra fees and what not. So I try to hurry as fast as I can, I usually show up around 5:30-5:45 depending on traffic.  Now that I have Peyton, it's time to head home and feed the dogs. The first half hour we are home it's busy! Check the mail, feed the dogs, feed the cats and see if there's anything that needs ...
