  • Crazy Horse

South Dakota is steeped in history, it’s one of the main reasons I chose to take the kids here for MEA break. After visiting Mount Rushmore  we headed over to Crazy Horse. It’s only about a 15-20 minute drive. Crazy Horse is a privately funded memorial surviving on donations from the public. It’s a shame there is… [Continue Reading]

Recently, Peyton and I attended a conference in Sandusky, Ohio. While we were there I decided to make some time to take her to Cedar Point Amusement Park. Peyton discovered cave tours last year when I took her on one in southern Minnesota. From that moment on, she has been begging to go on more cave tours. • A Little Throwback to Sea World

One of my fondest memories growing up was the vacation my grandparents took me on to Sea World. I was about 6 years old and it was my first time to a park with sea animals. Oh boy was I excited! Back in 1983, Sea World was a lot different than it is now. I… [Continue Reading]

Everyone Can Enjoy Jolly Llama

Jolly Llama Sorbet Pops

We had such a busy day today! Peyton and I are in Chicago visiting family and decided to take a day trip to the Lincoln Zoo. It was our first time and we had a blast! After the zoo, we went back to my Aunt's house and we spent the rest of the day with our family. It was a warm day out, which means the kids are looking something cold to enjoy. But with all these children, we run into a few dietary issue. We have one that is lactose intolerant and another that has issues with Gluten. So, finding a ...

Choosing Your Next Car

Cars

Sponsored post. A few months ago I decided we really needed to upgrade our car.  We've had it for a few years, it was the first SUV I ever owned and now that I've had it for 4 years I know what I would do differently. Rear climate controls are a must if you have children or pets that ride in the car. I have heard Peyton complain so many times, like nearly everytime she's in the car, that she is either too hot or too cold. But the only way to fix it is for me to blast the air conditioner or ...
