Can it be done? Can one person drive straight through from Minnesota to Bowling Green, Kentucky in one day? It’s nearly a 12-hour drive without any hiccups.  That’s a long drive. But I did it! That’s exactly what I did when I took Peyton to Bowling Green, Kentucky over MEA break. We drove the whole… [Continue Reading]

  • Kona Ice of Stillwater

Every weekend I look for food trucks that will be in our local area. Since the Minnesota State Fair was canceled and we can’t really travel much, finding and trying out new food trucks every weekend has kinda become our thing. I’ve seen Kona Ice of Stillwater posts in our local mom’s groups and I… [Continue Reading]

  • Crazy Horse

South Dakota is steeped in history, it’s one of the main reasons I chose to take the kids here for MEA break. After visiting Mount Rushmore  we headed over to Crazy Horse. It’s only about a 15-20 minute drive. Crazy Horse is a privately funded memorial surviving on donations from the public. It’s a shame there is… [Continue Reading]

Peyton has a fascination with dinosaurs. There was one point when she would only watch The Land Before Time and Ice Age movies. Dolphin Sandwich Bento Box

PBJ Dolphin Sandwich Bentgo Box

There used to be a time when I couldn't convince Peyton to eat peanut butter to save my life. Then sometime this spring she decided she loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. So this summer she has been begging me to make them for her nearly every day. So today I gave in, again, and made her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in dolphin shapes with one little heart sandwich too. When we had gone grocery shopping this weekend Peyton picked out some peaches for lunch. So today I cut them up ...

As I'm waiting for my July IPSY bag to arrive I thought I would do a flashback to what I received this time last year. I've been an IPSY member for over a year now and I'm still loving it! Every month I receive new beauty products to try out. Here's what I received last July -The bag was pretty funky. It felt more lake a tapestry type material with blues, yellow, black, pink and white patterned on the outside with a silky blue liner on the inside. I was super excited for this bag because ...

Nacho Cheese Bento Box

Nacho Cheese Bento Box

It's Friday! Today is a lazy day at camp for Peyton. They spend the day swimming and playing all day. They even have the ice cream truck come by! So, I thought I would make her lunch extra special today. I decided to make it with nachos and cheese! This was really easy, all I did was put some round tortilla chips in the bottom and covered it with shredded nacho cheese. I knew it would be a hit because Peyton loves cheese.  We still had some blueberries and blackberries in the fridge so that ...
