Get Ready for Christmas

Who doesn't love the Berenstain Bears? I LOVE them. I remember growing up and just being captivated by them. I remember growing up and heading to our local amusement park that had a Berenstain Bears section dedicated to the little ones. It's gone now. So my daughter will never know the joy of playing in Berenstain Bears land but I can still share my love of them with her through books.  In  Get Ready for Christmas the Berenstain Bears are decorating for the Christmas holiday. But when ...

My Christmas Stocking

My Christmas Stocking is a board book for the little ones. The story is simple yet engaging for young readers. I like how they made the book in the shape of a stocking, it's just another way to grab little ones attentions. Each page is filled with colorful pictures that will draw in little ones eyes. Now this story does have a religious undertone. But I personally do not feel it's overwhelming and it is appropriate since we are talking about Christmas.  My Christmas Stocking help explain ...

The Legend of the Candy Cane

I will never look at a Candy Cane the same ever again. Before I read The Legend of the Candy Cane I always just looked at them as a piece of candy. But not any more. Lori Walburg did a wonderful job bring the story to life with words. The illustrations by Richard Cowdrey are beautiful. The Legend of the Candy Cane open with a stranger arriving in a small prairie town. He finds an abandoned building and starts renovating it. No one knows what's he's doing but they sure are curious! And Lucy is the ...

Goodnight Manger

What a cute book! My daughter is 5 years old and is fascinated with babies and pretty much everything right now. At this age everything seems to be clicking for her, her brain is whirling 2000 miles a second and she's full of questions. So having a book that tells you what really happened on the night Jesus was born was helpful. No where in the book is the baby referred to as Jesus, he's referred to as the baby. So if you're not religious this book is still a cute read. Goodnight Manger written ...
